Being pregnant is an exciting time. It is also a time of unique physical, chemical and emotional stress on the body. Pelvis instability is quite common as the uterus grows to house your new baby. Many of the ligaments and tendons within the pelvis attach to the uterus. This means that an unbalanced pelvis can affect pregnancy comfort as well as influence optimal birthing position.

Adjustments when pregnant may reduce labour time significantly. One study showed women under chiropractic care had a 24% shorter labour compared with women not receiving chiropractic care. This reduction in labour time was increased to 33% for second time mums.1

Our chiropractors use a variety of adjusting techniques that are suitable in any stage of pregnancy, and have many years of experience working with expectant parents.
